Mitigation Evaluations
Mitigation Evaluations in California
Mitigation evaluations help courts understand the psychological, developmental, and situational factors that may have influenced a defendant’s behavior during an alleged offense. At Elara Clinical & Forensic Psychology, we provide comprehensive evaluations with consideration, grounded in research, that provides a strong forensic case formulation to assist attorneys in plea negotiations and aid the court in sentencing. These evaluations highlight factors that may lessen culpability, contextualize behavior, and inform individualized treatment planning.
